TASMU Smart Qatar is the nation's flagship smart-city programme, led by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT). Conceived as the digital response to Qatar National Vision 2030, TASMU catalyses the country's ICT ecosystem by uniting global innovators with local demand — enhancing public services across five priority sectors: transportation, logistics, healthcare, environment and sports.

MCIT sets Qatar's national ICT strategy, regulates the digital sector and delivers TASMU as the country's shared smart-nation platform. The TASMU Platform was launched in July 2021 and named a top-3 finalist for "Enabling Technologies" at Smart City Expo World Congress 2021 in Barcelona.
